Wallpaper Installation Manual
How to Install Wallpaper Like a professional.

Wallpaper can instantly transform any space from plain to stunning. Once you’ve chosen your style and pattern, it’s time to install it properly to avoid issues like air bubbles, creases, or peeling.

IMPORTANT:
Improper installation can cause expansion bubbles, wrinkles, or poor adhesion. Ensure the wall surface is smooth, dry, crack free and clean before starting.

Steps to Install Wallpaper

  1. Measure and Cut:
Measure your wall height and cut wallpaper lengths accordingly, allowing a few extra centimetres at the top and bottom.
  2. Prepare Adhesive:
Use the recommended wallpaper adhesive and follow the instructions on the pack.
  3. Hang Wallpaper:
Apply wallpaper one strip at a time, making sure it’s straight and smooth. Carefully trim the edges once hung.
  4. Handle Difficult Areas:
Carefully work around radiators, sockets, windows, doors, and corners with a sharp knife and straight edge.

3 Methods for Applying Wallpaper:

Option 1 – Paste the Paper
(Traditional Method)

  • Apply paste directly to the back of the wallpaper.
Allow it to soak for 10–15 minutes.
    Hang on the wall carefully.

Option 2 – Paste the Wall:
(Modern, Easy Method)

  • Apply paste directly to the wall.
  • Hang dry wallpaper over the pasted area.
    Ideal for non-woven wallpapers.

Option 3 – Paste Both Wall & wallpaper (Highly Recommended Method)

A. Cut wallpaper to size and place it face-down on a clean, flat surface (a table is ideal).
B. Apply paste evenly to the back of the wallpaper using a roller or brush.
C. Gently fold both ends toward the centre (booking method) and let it soak for 10–15 minutes.
D. While the paper soaks, apply paste directly to the wall.
E. Begin applying the wallpaper from the top, aligning it properly.
F. Use a smoothing brush in curved strokes to remove bubbles and excess paste.
Tips:
Always start from a straight vertical line.
Overlap slightly at the edges and trim for a perfect finish.
Clean excess paste immediately with a damp sponge.
